I love gardening. All my life better gardening enthusiast and the love of gardening has never let me.
Whether it’s growing vegetables, fruit, or just making my garden beautiful I can never spend too much time in the garden.
You wouldn’t believe but recently my wheelbarrow fell to pieces I’ve used it so much. The wheelbarrow is an absolutely indispensable garden tool, it’s almost impossible to be a good gardener without a wheelbarrow.
I don’t know what it is about gardening. Maybe it’s the sunshine, maybe it’s getting the feel of the earth between your fingers, maybe it’s being outdoors in the elements, perhaps it’s the joy of seeing your plants grow, I just cannot pin down why I love gardening so much.
This year I’ve been concentrating on my vegetables. Only is it rewarding to watch them grow it also saves me a lot of money. If you have a serious vegetable garden you can grow just about all of vegetables you need for the year.
Some vegetables are extremely productive, some not so productive. Zucchinis for example will produce more vegetables than you can eat from just 2 or 3 plants.
They also love growing fruit and I have almost 70 fruit trees. Unfortunately the birds get most of my fruit, although I do my best to stop that. The only way to really stop the birds getting all the fruit is to put a net over the entire tree, and that’s extremely difficult to do. (more…)
